DIVERSITY
Diversity Mission
At NewWave Communications, diversity is an investment in the future of our business, not just a program. Diversity is a critical part of our culture, values and business operations. NewWave Communications values the ways in which we are different. This includes differences of our employees, customers, suppliers, business partners and the communities we serve. Here, diversity starts with understanding, valuing and representing the varied needs, gifts and priorities of a culture that is inclusive. By valuing differences, we demonstrate our commitment to treating everyone with respect and to valuing the contributions of all employees.
Diversity Vision
To be the best company to work for and do business with, improving the quality of life in the communities we serve. This means we treat others with dignity, as we would like to be treated ourselves.
Embracing diversity requires shared responsibility. We encourage each employee of NewWave Communications to help make our work culture welcoming.
Developing Opportunities at Work
Other NewWave training and development programs are aimed at creating a work place where a wide range of opportunities are available to every employee and where employees are enabled to succeed in reaching their personal and professional goals:
- Mentoring Program – By pairing emerging leaders with experienced leaders within the company, this program helps employees maximize their potential and enhance their leadership and development skills. Employees being mentored with experienced leaders benefit from a faster learning curve, a broader personal network and new avenues for personal growth.
- Diversity Training – NewWave provides diversity training to employees in order to continue to create a climate where employees are treated with respect and given opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. Such training helps NewWave employees understand that diversity goes beyond race and gender through exercises designed to guide each person in understanding his or her attitudes, beliefs, and expectations about others. The program then leads teams of employees to find ways to better understand and include more people in their day-to-day work.
